Understand Your Options in Case of Mueller Firing
If Trump fires special counsel Robert Mueller, there are groups in New York prepared for a rapid-response protest. One coalition of activist groups plans to start its action in Times Square and march to Union Square. (Please note that the Facebook event page has the date December 31 as a placeholder only. An event page can't be created without a date, so an arbitrary one was chosen.) To make sure you get immediate updates if Mueller is fired:

If you have further questions, you can email the coalition at nyctrumpmuellerprotest@gmail.com.

UPDATED NOTE: New Yorkers have the right to engage in peaceful protest activity on public sidewalks, in public parks, and on public streets in New York City. As of Dec. 18, 2017, the organizers of the possible Mueller-related protest are planning to exercise that right by demonstrating without obtaining a police permit. To read more about your rights to demonstrate in NYC, review this New York Civil Liberties Union page. For more information on the ground rules of such an event, including participants' commitment to nonviolence, see MoveOn's terms as well as the disclaimer at the bottom of this newsletter.
