Actions for Week of October 8, 2018

Monday, October 8, 2018 - TWO ACTIONS
(1) Check Your Voter Registration
The November 6 midterm elections are our best chance to halt the far-right takeover of our country. The deadline for voter registration in New York is October 12 (registrations sent by mail must be postmarked as of that date and received by a board of elections no later than October 17).

  • The easiest way to register to vote online is through the DMV's website.

  • Already registered? Make sure you haven't been purged from the rolls by checking your status here. Purges are happening in New York as well as other states.

  • Today's action: Ask five people to register or check their registration.

(2) Fundraiser for Antonio Delgado
Downtown location will be provided after your RSVP
8:30 p.m.

Delgado is the first-time Democratic candidate who is running for Congress against incumbent John Faso in New York District 19. This race is considered so important that Mike Pence was fundraising for Faso last week.

Donate to Democrats in Tight Races
Use the #GrabYourBallot donation page to make a donation that's split among 31 Democratic candidates in tight races. The list includes important contenders such as Beto O'Rourke, who is challenging Ted Cruz for a Senate seat in Texas; Jacky Rosen, who is running for the senate against incumbent Dean Heller in Nevada; and Antonio Delgado of NY19.

Don't forget that it's still urgent to flip the New York State senate from red to blue.
