Monday, June 4, 2018 -- TWO EVENTS
(1) Launch of Climate Action Mondays
Calligaris Chelsea
144 W. 18th St.
7 p.m. - 10 p.m.

If environmental issues are your passion, don't miss the launch of Climate Action Mondays. Starting today and continuing for the 20 weeks until the elections, a coalition of activist groups will gather every Monday to confront climate change. The big ask is that all 870 candidates for Congress support the bill to implement the Paris Agreement by mandating 100% renewables nationwide by 2035 -- aka the OFF FOSSIL FUEL ACT.  The coalition will also "challenge every New York State candidate to step up and support climate legislation and take the NO Fossil Fuel Money Pledge."

(2) The Blue Wave Is Coming: Phonebank for Pennsylvania
Lower East Side, address TBA
6 p.m. - 8 p.m
Sister District NY 12-13-14 and Grand Street Democrats are hosting two phone banks for Liz Hanbidge, a first-time candidate running for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in a district that went for Hillary. Early name recognition will help her beat the incumbent Republican in November.  You'll be sent the exact location of the phonebanking event after you RSVP.
